Now for the Follow Friday fun!

Question of the week:

What is your superhero alter-ego?

Answer:

Anita Blake. I love her exploits. She can kick butt and take names and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. While I wish the later books had more plot and a little less smut (not that I mind some of it...) I love the bond she has with Jean Claude and how she can adapt and overcome practically anything. If I could be a superhero...yes, Anita Blake I would be.

  1. I think I'm going to have to go deep into the past for my first super heroine - Nancy Drew. I wanted to be a girl detective SO badly and have adventures! I eventually realized that teen detective was probably not terribly realistic, so I settled for the next best thing - writing about detectives.

  2. i had to google anita blake! except for yasmine galenorns' otherworld series, i don't really get the time to read much fiction....i don't know as if the sisters could be considered super-heroes...

  3. I like Anita as well and I agree with you that the books started to bog down with too many sex scenes and not enough plot. I haven't read the last several yet. I don't see myself as Anita. Probably not Sookie either, but she's closer. I identify more with Granny Weatherwax in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.
